While UCR Basic Needs does not directly supply laptops, hotspots, or other devices, we are committed to connecting students with trusted campus and community resources that can help.
This page offers guidance on where and how to access affordable or loan-based technology services so that students can stay connected, engaged, and on track. Explore the options below to find the support that best fits your needs.
UCR Basic Needs has partnered up with Human I-T to offer students a referral for their "Gold Membership" to be able to offer students low-cost laptops, tablets, and hotspot!
This membership includes the following perks:
- Save 40–60% on already low prices
- Unlock exclusive access to Mobile Hotspot
- Connect with affordable internet plans
- Learn with free digital literacy training
- Get one-on-one support tailored to you
In order to be eligible for this membership, students must meet 1 of the eligibility requirements:
- Enrollment in a government assistance program (ex: CalFresh)
- Income below 200% of the federal poverty level
