Swipe Out Hunger
Swipe Out Hunger is the leading nonprofit addressing hunger among college students. They are partnered with over 550+ colleges and universities and work to design and implement a range of anti-hunger programs, including “The Swipe Drive” which allows students to donate leftover meal swipes at the end of each term to help support their peers who may be experiencing food insecurity.
UCR Basic Needs re-launched this initiative Spring 2023 and look forward to supporting Highlanders in need!
Swipe Out Hunger Distribution
The Sign up form will be available April 11th, 2025 on a first come first serve basis to eligible students while supplies last. Actual Distribution will take place at the Basic Needs Center, Costo Hall 110 on April 18th, 2025 only.
Swipe Out Hunger Drive
During Week 10 of spring quarter, students are able to donate up to three of their meal swipes to the Basic Needs Department to be redistributed to students experiencing food insecurity.
