Swipe Out Hunger

Swipe Out Hunger is the leading nonprofit addressing hunger among college students. They are partnered with over 550+ colleges and universities and work to design and implement a range of anti-hunger programs, including “The Swipe Drive” which allows students to donate leftover meal swipes at the end of each term to help support their peers who may be experiencing food insecurity.

UCR Basic Needs re-launched this initiative Spring 2023 and look forward to supporting Highlanders in need!

Swipe Out Hunger Drive

During Week 10 of spring quarter, students are able to donate up to three of their meal swipes to the Basic Needs Department to be redistributed to students experiencing food insecurity.

Thank you to everyone who donated this year! We appreciate your generosity and look forward to helping more Highlanders in need.

Check back next spring to donate again!
